To enable development to be approved by the planning authority highway improvements that mitigate the impact of development are often required.  These improvements may be as simple as provision of new pedestrian and cycling facilities, or may consist of more significant interventions such a new junction, or reconfiguration of the highway.

We are skilled and experienced in identifying and negotiating the requirements of highway related improvements, developing concepts, and detailed designs.  Importantly we understand the process and associated time-frame necessary to obtain Technical Approval from the Highway Authority .

We also have experience of designing temporary traffic management and securing the necessary licences / permissions associated with the implementation of works.  Our clients often employ us to arrange these on their behalf.
